XHTML 2: Electric Boogaloo

I saw the other day that the W3C released a second draft of the XHTML 1.0 specification, but I completely missed a far more interesting milestone until this morning. A working draft of the XHTML 2.0 specification has been posted and it’s very interesting. I haven’t had time to digest it yet but there’s already a story about it at Kuro5hin and one guy has already released a page marked up in the new language. Check it out.

The sad part is that it will take forever for browsers to support the new XHTML and even longer for people to upgrade. Sigh!
