Unplugged

I left my laptop’s power adapter in Santa Rosa. The folks are graciously mailing it back to me. Meanwhile, the battery is going fast. As a result I haven’t had much of a chance to check email, work on projects, or feel like a whole human being. Please bear with us.

[Later: Okay, half a dozen emails sent. Everything seems caught up as well as possible. Battery about to die. Hoping charger arrives tomorrow. Hate being unplugged. Thanks again to the folks. Out.]

talk about unplugged !!!

My ISP just closed my internet connection. It turns out I used the wrong bill. So I’ve paid for March but not for Febuary, which made them close my connection.

I just talked to them on the phone, and they said they coulnd’t change it, because it would be tampering with legal papers or something … bleh !!

Why would they think you’d want to pay for March but not February? Dumb! Hope it gets worked out.

walt - you cant check your mail at work?

I can but it’s kind of a pain. Plus, I expect to be back up soon.

Brian, that is, as we say, whack. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Every ISP or any other utility I’ve ever dealt with assumes you have a balance and whatever you pay goes towards paying off that balance. Bizarro. Hope it gets worked out soon.
