It’s 3 a.m. Again. I’m up. I haven’t posted anything here in almost a week. I was flipping channels the other night and caught the bit in Annie where the orphan girls are singing “Hard Knock Life” and the damn thing is stuck in my head. I still can’t believe someone sampled this song for a rap song. And pulled it off. I’ve been meaning to write about my poor-man’s Tivo substitute but like I say, it’s 3. I’m off to bed.
Two years ago. Last year. This year: For all the death we’ve inflicted all over the world in retribution for 9/11 I don’t feel the least bit safer. If anything I feel more alienated from the rest of the world.

it wasn’t just “someone” who sampled it for a rap song, it was jay-z… he’s successful at just about everything he does including having his own record company, clothing line, performing rap on mtv unplugged, snagging beyonce knowles, etc.. he even owns a company that makes armadale vodka. def gives sean combs a run for his money, on the east coast at least
