Slightly less busted than it was last week.

Six Aparty

The Movable Type 3.1 release hoopla.

I had a good time at the Movable Type 3.1 sneak peek shindig this evening. Met some cool folks, had some interesting conversations, and was reminded of what a great opportunity this has been for me.

Hey Walt, it was cool meeting you at the Sneak Peek. I’m the designer (with no hair) who was picking the brains of all the Six Aparters early in the evening. You may have picked up on the fact that I was quite interested in the company ;)

Walt, sounds like you have your first career stalker.

Mark, don’t listen to Mark. =-) It was good to meet you and I hope you do follow up with Anil if you’re interested.

And Mark (S.), there were far more stalk-worthy folks than me at this thing. =-)

I know a lot of people named Mark these days.

Oh, no, I’m definitely stalking him. On a slightly more serious note, I should’ve mentioned in my comment yesterday that I really llike the design or your site. And no, I’m not just buttering you up. It’s very clean and elegant. Great use of typography and a lot of thought obviously put into the UI. One of the reasons I want to work at Six Apart is because I’ve gleaned that the people are really good at what they do, and those are the sort of people I like to work with.

I stand corrected. =-) And thanks, I’m glad you like the site.

Hey Walt, I wish I had spoken to you more, but I couldn’t leave the mixer without telling you how much I appreciated your work with SubCategories. Its just absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for taking your time to talk to me, and that’s a brilliant picture!

Jasmeet, thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the feature (for which the vast majority of the credit is owed to the fabulous Mr. Raynes). (And thanks! Glad you dig the photo.) =-)
